"I’m a pretty average guy who, let’s be frank, had a pretty average wardrobe that hadn’t really changed for some 25yrs of adulting. It was a daily stress trying to find an outfit for work and then from professional attire to try and look like some kind of diva at night. "I had decided that my wardrobe was looking tired and I knew that I needed help to sort things out. Whilst friends are good with things like that, they can only go so far, so I knew that I was in need of a professional – that’s where Maurizio came in!
We had a meeting over coffee where I talked about my current dilemma and then it was back home to my house for a wardrobe makeover. I have to say that I was a little daunted by the whole process, but Maurizio put me at ease as we discussed likes and dislikes, styles and colours and those items I couldn’t live without (read ‘keeping them just-in-case…’).
An hour later and feeling quite liberated by the whole process, I had been given a new insight into clothing that would suit me. When we had finished I had a pile of clothes for recycling, ideas for using one or two old favourites in different ways and… I had managed to let go of the ‘just-in-case’ clothes!
Clearly, a shopping trip was in order and I asked Maurizio if I could book him in for a follow-up session. Again, this was a delight! Although we met in the city, Maurizio has a great knowledge of ‘hidden gems’ away from the traditional shopping malls. These proved to be a bonus for one-off items such as funky T-shirts and sneakers. The highlight of the day was ending up with more items than I had expected and under the budget I had discussed with Maurizio!
A wardrobe makeover is a great experience and I encourage everyone to try it!"
