The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards!
The Golden Globes have approached us again for another year: another year of A-grade celebs; another year of red carpet glam to see who stood out and wore it right!
Jennifer Lawrence executed her red column dress by Christian Dior with deep waist cut-out detail to a T! Apart from red being a great hue choice for her complexion, the accompanying jewel piece sits just perfectly, along with her clean hair and make up choice - it just tops it off!
Julieanne Moore shone elegance in Tom Ford. The navy blue sequinned gown with slashed neckline compliments her porcelain skin and flowing red locks.
Lady Gaga brought back the old Hollywood glamour with her Monroe look in this stunning Versace silhouette velvet number. Hair and make up work wonders with her gown with accessories just blinging lightly but elegantly.
Helen Mirren just shows style has no age barrier in her Bagley Mischka gown - simple but elegant!
Fringing is something I'm usually not a big fan of, but when the gown is Givenchy and Cate Blanchett is wearing it, then a special mention is required. The hue, texture, detail all work beautifully in this gown making Cate glow! Hair and make up finishing touches - polished!
I have yet to have found Jennifer Lopez strutting any red carpet event with elegance but for some reason, she has done it this time! Wearing a canary yellow Giambattista Valli gown, it all works! - lips, jewels, hair, it all works!!! (still shocked, he-he)
Now, the attention always seems to be on the ladies at these events but I have to say that in the Male category, I am happy to announce that both Eddie Redmayne and Michael B. Jordan both look handsome in their tuxes!I love Eddie's fine polka-dot Gucci jacket which just adds a little diversity, whilst Michael's waistcoat gives a touch of sophistication to his!
Well, it's a wrap for another year at the Golden Globes. Well done to all the outstanding performances and for the above-mentioned, hats off to all of you for exceptional style!
Maurizio ;-)
